It is the hardest part of our area to do mobile work in, and we would rather be straight about that than turn up and fail. Metered and permit parking, garages with low clearance, and streets where a van simply cannot stop long enough to work.
What usually works: a private garage with clearance, an office lot, a driveway in the residential neighborhoods, or a reserved space you can hold for us. What usually does not: a metered street downtown at midday.
Tell us the address and where the car sits when you call, and we will tell you honestly whether mobile works or whether bringing it to Fairfax is the better answer.
Most of our DC work is not road damage at all. It is break-ins: a door or quarter glass smashed overnight or over the weekend, usually to reach something visible inside. We replace the glass and vacuum out what has gone into the door card, the seat rails and the carpet, because that is the part people notice for months afterwards.
If it has just happened, take photos before you clear anything up, and check whether your policy covers glass, since break-in damage is usually a comprehensive claim. If the car has to sit outside, cover the opening with plastic, but use painter's tape or masking tape rather than duct tape: strong tape bakes onto paint in the sun and can lift the clear coat when it comes off, which turns a glass job into a paint job. Then call us. We would rather fit it today than have you drive a week with a bag taped over the door.
Timing helps as much as location. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon are far easier than either rush hour, and a weekend slot in a residential neighborhood is the easiest of all. If your building has a loading bay or a visitor space you can book for an hour, that is usually all we need.

Do you come to me in Washington?
Yes, and there is no extra charge. We replace windshields at homes, offices and job sites throughout Washington. We need a reasonably level spot with room to work around the vehicle. If you are in an apartment or condo garage, tell us when you book so we can check the height clearance. We reschedule in rain, snow or extreme cold, because the adhesive will not cure properly in those conditions.
How fast can you get to me in Washington?
About 35 minutes from our Fairfax shop. Call us and we will tell you what is actually open today rather than guess.
Can I bring my car to your shop instead?
Yes. We are at 3131 Draper Dr, Unit G, Fairfax, VA 22031, open Monday to Friday 9 to 5 and Saturday 9 to 2. In-shop is the better option when your vehicle needs a static ADAS calibration, or when the weather is not right for outdoor work.
Do you work with insurance?
We work with all major insurance companies and file the claim for you. Comprehensive coverage usually covers glass damage and you pay your deductible, and we put up to $100 toward it. Chip repair is often covered with no deductible at all.
Do you calibrate ADAS cameras?
Yes, in-house, static and dynamic. If a camera looks through your windshield, calibration is part of the job and adds 45 to 90 minutes. You will not be sent somewhere else afterwards, and you get documentation showing it passed.
What if it is only a chip?
Send us a photo with a coin next to it for scale. Chips smaller than a quarter can usually be repaired in about twenty minutes, often with no deductible. We would rather tell you it is repairable than sell you a windshield.
